Simon Louis Ong is an award-winning screenwriter, producer, and actor based in Los Angeles. As producer, writer, and partner at Red Dog Productions, Simon oversees day-to-day management of the company and film production, in particular MOUNTAIN KING, Red Dog’s first feature. In addition to his work at Red Dog, Simon has been 1st Assistant Director on a multitude of independent feature films including KING OF THIEVES (dir. Hamilton O’Toole), THE EYE (dir. Josh Palmer), and POETRY NIGHT (dir. Caedmon Fair).

Ong’s feature script THREE APES PERFORM SHAKESPEARE IN CHICAGO was a quarterfinalist in the Scriptation Screenwriting Competition. Ong is a producer and performer with the Banana Channel, a short-form comedy production company.

Ong is currently hard at work on Red Dog’s sophomore feature, a dark comedy thriller called I’M SORRY MATT 06, which he co-wrote and co-produced.
